Wow... I devoured this novella in a couple of hours!! What a fast paced, sex infused, sometimes twisted road I just traveled with the two characters Savanna and Jax. These two are like mixing fire and kerosene and you can't help but want to stay and watch how hot their fire gets when combined! Great job Deliza Rafferty at writing a book that can be read quickly, but contain the story elements of a great novel!
Savanna is trying to make it in the rock and roll world and gets an opportunity to work with a well known record producer. Once there, she has high hopes of this could be her moment to shine. That is until the engineer that will be working with her turns his sexy head her way and she realizes that he is a ghost from her past. How are they supposed to work together when all they want to do is rip each other's heads and clothes off!
Jax was a young douche bag his first go around with Savanna. He has heard she has changed, but he is getting some first hand experience with her hell cat reputation. I love how Deliza Rafferty took two explosive personality and slammed them together face first to make for a very intriguing time. This book had many great parts to it. I would have to say my favorite was the sex scene in her house. Jax has basically forced himself on her (even if she is secretly begging or it). She climbs on top of him and is riding him like Paul Revere. Right before he releases, she climbs off and walks away. Needless to say this creates a very explosive and entertaining dialogue between the two of them. Out of all the turmoil, sweaty sex, will they/won't they scenarios that occur in Hound Dog there was one stand out relationship that I adored!!! I LOVE Savannah and Jared's friendship and really hope he appears in the novellas that are to come. Jared is her one true gay as she calls him. He has been her friend since high school and is the one that picks up the pieces when she crumbles. Jared is there waiting on call with a bottle of vodka, some snazzy remarks, and his love-able nickname of "Daddy" for Savannah. I can only hope that Savannah and even Jax find forgiveness for their past behavior and maybe reunite and give us some mentally healthier sex scenes in future stories. ;)
