What if your life finally seemed to make sense? But, what ifin an instanteverything is taken away? How far would you go to get your life back? Seventeen year old Allie Anderson's telekinetic powers are anything but usefulshe can't bring her father back, can't stop her mother's downward spiral into alcohol, and can't keep her from falling in love with Ethan Bradley. Loving Ethan is easy, but it comes with a hefty price: Ethan is prohibited by his people from interacting with mortalsbecause he isn't mortal himself. When Allie and Ethan's love is discovered, there's someone who will do anything to keep them apart. If Allie can't learn to control her powers and fight to save Ethan, this dark entity will make every attempt to stop her beating heart. And if that happens, not even the energy of an immortal can bring her back.

Shimmering with strong paranormal elements, a touch of mystery, magic, and a forbidden love story worth dying for, Other Side of Forever will leave you craving more.
Excerpt:
Ethan rushed out of the trees and raced over. He kneeled down beside me, his expression matching the feeling that throbbed through my leg. "Are you okay, Allie?" he asked. His breathing remained steady, even though I knew he had been running through the woods. How weird. But I was in too much agony and too confused about what happened only minutes ago to ask him about it.
"My ankle," I said.
He lifted his gaze from my face to stare at my hands. He pushed my hands away and replaced them with his. The warmth zipping through my ankle began to numb the pain.
"Where did you come from?" I asked, watching his hands in disbelief.
"I live on the other side of the woods," he answered, shooting me a sideways glance before focusing back on my injury.
"How convenient for me that Ethan Bradley lives on the other side of the woods." The memory of our argument the night before flashed back into my mind.
"Apparently it's very convenient." He pressed his lips together. "If not, you would be stuck out here in the middle of nowhere without a way to get home."
The heat from his hands intensified, and I was no longer able to speak. A tingling sensation snaked its way into my ankle and slithered up my body. His energy completely relaxed me. And then, all traces of pain were gone. It was if I had never been injured at all.
"How...how did you do that?"
He looked over at me, his dark eyes drowning in hesitation. I thought he was going to tell me the truth this time, but I was wrong.

My Review:
Other Side of Forever was an amazingly quick read that contained just enough YA and paranormal to make it a good read. I love that the author took on a subject like teen love and immortals, but added a twist to it!

Allie, the heroine of the book, has a power that she has kept hidden since she was 10 years old. She isn't sure if it is a gift or a curse. She views it as a curse because she didn't gain this power until her dad left her and her mother. Her mother is a drunk and has preached the fact that love is for fools to Allie since losing her father. Allie decided early on that if she closed herself off to people and didn't let them in, she would never fall in love, therefor never getting hurt. She has her friends, yes...but they aren't close enough for her to tell her secret to. Allie's mom is notorious for taking off and abandoning her for weeks at a time, so in Allie's mind everyone leaves... another reason not to let anyone near her heart.

Enter Ethan... oh Ethan.... he is from Asteria and his people do not take well to falling in love with a mortal. The higher ups in his Asterian society have made it their business to forbid Ethan and Allie to fall in love and make sure they are separated at all costs. Ethan is a hero of all heroes. He saves Allie from disaster after disaster and even balances her wonky powers while she learns to control them. He is the perfect boyfriend... minus the fact that his Asterian family want her dead!

I give Other Side of Forever 3.8 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! I loved how the story flowed, the characters were endearing, and the basis of the book grabbed my attention from page 1! This is a phenomenal YA book and a must read for YA lovers!! I can't wait to see what Shannon Eckrich has in store for us in her next installment of this hopeful series!! **hint hint**

Blog Tour: Naughty Girl by Scarlett Metal

We are super excited to have Scarlett Metal and her book Naughty Girl on our blog today!!!
Blurb:
Alexandra loved the hot sex she experienced as a submissive in the bedroom, but would never give her heart to any man.

After getting hurt by his sub and wife, Paul swore he would never make that kind of commitment to a woman again.

They meet at the club that Alex frequents and quickly become play partners. The sex is amazing, but despite their reservations, they begin to fall for each other. Will they be willing to admit their feelings for each other?

Contains some BDSM (light) and sexual situations. Intended for audiences 18+.
Excerpt:
I will never forget the night I met him, the one that would eventually not only put a collar on my neck, but around my heart. I was sitting at the club with my best friend Stephanie and her boyfriend Zach when I noticed him. He was hard to miss, sitting over in the corner booth with Max, the club owner. It was hard to tell exactly how tall he was, but I guessed at least 6’3”. His dark blond hair was short and combed back. The suit he was wearing was obviously expensive, Armani maybe? I bet he had amazing shoulders under that suit. What really caught my attention were his eyes. He noticed me looking at him and gave me a slight smile and nod before I quickly glanced away. There was something about his piercing, icy blue eyes that unnerved me. “Who’s the new guy with Max?” I nodded my head over to where Max and the mystery man were sitting, taking a quick drink of my water. Zach looked in Max's direction and shrugged. “Pretty sure that's Max’s friend fromcollege. Rumor has it he had a big club in New York or something and he's going to partner with Max here. ” “Huh...” I glanced back over at him. If he was a friend of Max’s and had a club, there’s a good chance he was a Dom too. I wondered if he was taken. “Alex, what's going through that head of yours?” My best friend Stephanie smirked. It was like she could read my mind. “Whatever do you mean?” I smiled at her innocently. She shook her head with a laugh. “I know and I know that look. You're looking at him like you're trying to survey the fresh meat.” I shrugged. “Maybe…and maybe I was just thinking I should go over and say hi. You know, to be polite.” Stephanie laughed. “What about Will? Are you guys finally done?” I waved my hand, dismissing her comment. Will had been a Dom at the club that I’d been casually seeing. “There’s nothing between Will and me. We were just having a good time, besides, he moved to California and I haven’t heard from him in over a month; no phone call, no text, nothing.” She snorted. “That’s weird. With the way he acted before he left, I would’ve thought you’d hear from him all the time. Shit, the way he talked about you, I’m surprised he didn’t try to drag you along with him.” I rolled my eyes. “Like that would’ve happened. He knew I wasn’t even looking for a collar. We had a good time together but it wasn’t anything special. I certainly wouldn’t relocate for him! Besides, I just want to say hi. There’s no harm in that.”” Unlike my best friend who wore her Dom Zach’s collar, I had no interest in making that kind of commitment to anyone. I was in the lifestyle for the kinky sex more than anything. I absolutely loved a man that took charge in the bedroom. Steph and I have been friends since high school. One night after way too many margaritas, we confessed to each other that we liked sex a little bit rough and were curious about the BDSM lifestyle. We started doing some research, and found the local underground BDSM club, Backstage. We started coming here to play and learn more about lifestyle five years ago and became regulars. Stephanie met her Dom Zach right away and was collared after six months. She’s never been with another Dom. After three years together, they got engaged. I, on the other hand, had play partners at the club, even dated a few casually but nothing more. I knew in my head being submissive didn't mean giving up all of my independence, but I couldn't seem to give myself to anyone enough to be collared for more than play. I couldn’t stop glancing over at the corner booth. “That’s it.” I stood up, smoothing my hands on my skirt, my mind set on meeting the mystery man. “I’m going over to say hi.” “Good luck!” Steph called after me as I walked away. I looked hot and I knew it. Taking a deep breath, I bit my lip as I approached their table; glad I had worn my red lipstick. My long blond hair was piled up on my head in a messy bun with pieces framing my face and showing off my large silver hoops. The two men stopped their conversation as they noticed me walk up. The mystery man's eyes traveled from my freakishly high heels that took me forever to learn how to walk in to the almost obscenely short hem of my favorite black skirt. His gaze finally stopped at the nearly indecent amount of cleavage revealed in my black bustier. When he finally lifted his eyes to meet mine, it was like he could see through me, to my soul. I was so thrown off by his look I almost forgot why I was there. “Um, hi Max. How are you doing tonight? Do you guys need any drinks or anything?” That’s the best I had? Lame. I glanced at Max’s friend and gave him a wide smile. “Hey Alex. I didn’t know I hired you as a waitress .” Max looked up at me with a smirk on his face. He was one of the few Doms here I hadn’t been with, but it wasn’t for lack of trying on my part. He wasn’t interested, but then again, I’d never seen him play at the club with anyone all of the time I’d been coming here. I narrowed my hazel eyes at him. “I was just trying to be nice.” I could feel the handsome stranger’s gaze on me, looking me up and down. My nipples tightened under my leather bustier. “Mmhmm…” He chuckled. “Have you met Paul?” I turned my attention to him and smiled. I suddenly felt like I had a stomach full ofbutterflies. I’d never been so nervous to talk to a man before. Not sure why I suddenly was now. “I‘ve not had the pleasure.” “Alex, this is my best friend from college, Paul. Paul, this is Alex. She's a submissive here at the club.” I held out my hand. “Nice to meet you.” He took my tiny hand, gripping it firmly in his strong one. My eyes widened as I felt something like a jolt of electricity pass from his hand to mine. From the way his eyes darkened, I was pretty sure he felt it too. “Nice to meet you too, Alex.” His voice was deep and smooth, like a bass drum. I shuddered suddenly as a vision of him whispering naughty things in my ear flashed in my head. “Alex?” Max’s voice suddenly jolted me out of my fantasy. I broke out of my reverie to realize both men were looking at me expectedly. “What?” My face was warm as I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and smiled sheepishly at Paul. “Sorry.” He winked at me. “That’s ok, Alex.” Oh my god, the way he said my name made my knees weak. “Well then, I’m going to head back to my friends. Just wanted to stop by and say hi. It was nice to meet you Paul.” I was totally flustered now. What’s wrong with me? Men never flustered me. I was usually the one to do the flustering. “It was nice to meet you too. Hopefully we will run into each other again soon.” Paul nodded and licked his lips. This time I had visions of being tied up in front of him while he used that tongue to tease me until I screamed for mercy. “I would like that,” I replied softly. “I’ll leave you boys alone. See you later.” As I walked back to my friends, I snuck a peek back at Paul and caught him watching me. I sat back down at the bar with a smug grin and took a long drink of my water. “So?” Stephanie prompted me eagerly, her wide eyes looking at me expectantly as she waited for a full report. “So what?” I shrugged nonchalantly. She reached over to smack my arm lightly. “Ow! What was that for?” I rubbed my arm, giving her a wounded look. “Please! I saw the look on your face when you left here. It was a typical Alex look – the ‘I’m going to eat you for lunch and spit you out’ look. And you came back here looking pretty happy with yourself.” “I have no idea what you are talking about. I just went over to say hi,” I said, trying not to giggle. I couldn’t hide anything from my best friend. “Sure ya did. So what’s his name?” She interrogated me. I played with the corner of the napkin under my water glass. “His name is Paul.” “What else?” She was so nosy. She loved to live vicariously through my exploits since she had been with Zach so long. I laughed. “That was about it. We didn’t talk that long, Steph.” Stephanie rubbed my arm. “True.” She rested her head on her hand on the bar. “Are you going to put the moves on him?” “I don’t know, I just met him after all.” I stammered. “He’s hot though. We’ll see.” Stephanie leaned back to look over at Paul. “Yeah he is. Panty-dropping hot, in fact.” I busted out laughing. “Oh my god, Steph!” I turned around, getting another look at Paul. He saw me looking and gave me a smile and a nod. Yep, Paul was definitely panty dropping hot. I couldn’t wait to see more of him.

My Review:
Naughty Girl is a BDSM book with somewhat of a different story. Most character in these types of books have some kind of torrid past that leads them down the road of choosing the S&M lifestyle. Alex and Paul don't seem to fit this cookie cutter character analysis. They have both sworn off love for the time being and have absolutely no desire to pursue anything other having a little bedroom fun. That is until they meet each other and decide to become "playmates".

I love the fact that Alex is a good girl, trying to be bad while Paul is exactly the same. They both have their sexual fetishes that may not be everyone's cup of tea... but underneath that freaky little exterior are really two people who would love nothing more than be in love. They both have to put that coat of armor on and around their hearts to protect themselves from falling in love. Paul has been burned before and Alex witnessed her mother falling and depending on men her entire life. She is bound and determined NOT to do the same. It turns out that Alex's determination is exactly what Paul needs and Paul's protectiveness is what she has yearned to find.

I give Naughty Girl 3.5 stars on the knock my socks off scale. I thought it was a great short story and would love to hear what the future holds for Paul and Alex.

Cover Reveal: Finally Found by Nicole Andrews Moore

Check out the beautiful cover for Finally Found by Nicole Andrews Moore!!

Blurb:
Where one story ends, often another begins. For some reason, Adam Davenport can’t see past the ending. The hit and run has forced him to slow down and stop running from the pain of losing his parents. He has tried to hide behind meaningless, superficial relationships and even more shallow friendships, but the time has come to face his loneliness. Now he is finally ready to start being a family with his brother Sam. However, Sam and Haley, who was once Sam’s personal assistant, are too busy basking in their newfound love. Though breaking the rules for the first time ever has changed Sam’s life for the better, Adam has always broken the rules, strayed from responsibility, and done as little as he could get away with.

One of the main reasons that he refused to believe that Cammie was more than friend material was because she was impervious to his charms. She was so driven and determined to make her new catering company a success that she couldn’t see past her own dreams. Suddenly, Adam found himself behaving in ways he never imagined. He was working to impress a woman, but more than that, he was working to help make her dreams come true. He soon realizes that there are times in life when giving is more important than taking and when helping someone else is more important than what that person can do to reciprocate. He also learns there are times that the biggest risk is to stop hiding from emotions and to start allowing love to finally be found.

Blog Tour: The Girl in 6E by Alessandra Torre

  • Blog Tour: The Girl in 6E by Alessandra Torre
  • Cover Reveal: Love Square by Jessica Ingro

Today we welcome Alessandra Torre and her book, The Girl in 6E to our blog!!
Amazon
Kobo Books
Barnes and Noble
Warning: This book contains explicit sexual references, and should not be read by anyone under the age of 18.
BLURB:
I screw men for money. Not literally, think phone sex operator with a 15 megapixel web cam thrown in. They tell me their deepest, darkest fantasies while paying me $6.99 a minute.

What would possess me to engage in such a business? Throw in a tortoured past, 24/7 murderous thoughts, and a desire to keep the innocent people of my small town safe.

I was contained, out of the way, sexcamming my way to utter obscurity until HE came along. A twisted client armed with a targets name. Annie. And in that name, everything changed.

Excerpt:
“Something happened, and I need advice.” I grip the phone tightly and wait for the psychiatrist’s response. “Another episode?”

“No - nothing about that. It’s Jeremy…you know the guy who-”

“You’ve had one human interaction in three years, I know who you’re talking about. What happened?”

“He left me a note. Outside. With my package.” I read him the note, trying not to add inflections that probably don’t exist. When I finish there is silence, silence that stretches out so long that I find myself fidgeting.

“What do you want from me, DeAnna?”

“I want you to tell me what to do! I don’t know how to handle this shit.”

“What do you want to do?”

“I - I don’t know what I want. I just need you to tell me what to do.”

“What was it like when you were with him?”

I stand, pacing the expanse between my two bedrooms. Crossing the thresholds feels like moving between my two selves – sex kitten to lonely woman. JessReilly19 to scheming murderess. I pushed against his hard chest and then he was there, in my mouth, his tongue pressed gently against mine, and my own traitorous mouth responded, my heart rate increased, my hands moved of their own accord, to his strong arms. Shoving the blade of the box cutters deep into his skin, the blood bursting from the movement, spraying gently upon my hand. I tasted him, greedy for everything, my hands roamed everywhere, grabbed at his shirt, hastily undoing the buttons. If he came back, if he came inside, I could be more prepared, could succeed in my quest for death.

“Deanna?”

I halt, trying to focus. “I’m sorry - what was the question?”

“What was it like when you were with him? How did you feel?"

“I wanted him.” On me, in me, dead beneath me.

“In what way?” Derek’s voice is so sensual, so soothing, so male. I make a decision, moving to my pink bed, and lay back on the sheets that smell of lube and latex.

My Review:
Oh! Em! Gee! Have you ever read a book and got about 65% into it and knew that you absolutely MUST finish the book like yesterday?!?!?! This is exactly how I felt while reading The Girl in 6E. This book has a dark beginning and middle that leads to one of the most beautiful and shocking endings I have read in a while! Kudos to Alessandra Torre for not only writing a book, but taking on a subject matter and a basis for a story that is unique, creative, and totally addictive!!

The Girl in 6E follows the life of a cam girl. She has convinced herself that she is a killer, since she has done it once before, and is determined not to fall into her own spell for the need to kill. Deanna locked herself into her apartment before graduating college and never, EVER leaves. She has everything delivered... clothes, necessities, groceries, even toilet paper! Deanna's only human contact is through the Internet, phone, or her door and walls. She has entrusted a neighbor to lock her IN her apartment every night in fear she will give in to her demons and go out to kill.

This story took a major twist when Jeremy was introduced into Deanna's life. He is her UPS man and has been hiding a secret love for the last 3 years for Deanna. He has never even seen her, but he knows that there is something about her that he must figure out. She is mysterious and her sexy voice speaking to him through her door has sparked his interest and his determination in meeting her... face to face. One chance meeting rocks his and Deanna's world, made me fall in love with him myself, and had Deanna second guessing everything she had worked so hard to protect.

I spent the entire first half of this book trying to figure out why Deanna was the way she was. I was so intrigued by her and could not figure her out! I was perplexed as to why she locked herself into a crap hole apartment? What happened to her in her past that made her think she was a serial killer? Was she really a killer or just felt the need to kill? Would she ever kill if she left her apartment or could she be a normal part of society and just didn't have any faith in herself? Then I read on and found out the why's and how's and spent the remainder of the book hoping like heck that Deanna's life changed and she found her happy ending. I felt so badly for this girl who had no friends, no family, no human contact and it tore at my heartstrings!

It has been a while since I read a book that I could not wait to tell someone about because it shocked the &%^$ out of me!! The Girl in 6E is definitely that kind of book and did just that! I give this book 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale and I can only hope that Alessandra Torre will write another book that will suck me into her creative world once again!

Exclusive Excerpt:
I awake and slowly blink the sleep out of my eyes. The sun is fading, casting dark shadows in the room. I turn my head to see I’m alone in the bed. Lying on my stomach, staring non-seeing into the room, I remember how exquisitely fucked I was just a few hours ago.

The feel of his hard body over me and his cock moving in and out of me, the sweat dripping off him as we both came. I feel myself get turned on all over again, and he isn’t even here touching me. Then I remember his muted words spoken right before I fell asleep.

“I want you to know I would have waited another sixteen years to be able to feel that with you again.”

I’m finding it hard to believe that Jacob could rescue me from the prison I’ve put myself in over the years, living the life of someone other than whom I feel I should be. Even if that is my true wish, wishes don’t always come true.

The hotel room door opens and Jacob walks in carrying a couple bottles of water from a vending machine, setting them on a side table. He looks yummy as he walks to the bed with a wide smile on his face. Sitting next to me on the edge of the bed, he bends down and kisses my shoulder and down my naked spine, stopping where the sheet lies just above my ass.

“Hey, sleepyhead.” He murmurs in between those drugging kisses. My legs start to stir beneath the sheet and I’m tempted to take another ride before I have to leave.

“Hi. If you keep doing that, you’re not going to be able to stop me from having my wicked way with you again and I need to leave soon.” I sigh with frustration.

“Maybe that’s exactly what I want.” Running a finger up and down my spine, he stretches out next to me.

“I’m sure it is, but I have stuff to get done before I’m back on the road in a few days. I warned you I didn’t have much time but I would do my best to make this work.”

“It feels like I just got you back, and now you have to go away again. I’d much rather see your beautiful face, instead of dreaming of it. Will you have time to sneak away
again before you fly out?”

“I’m not sure. We’ll have to play it by ear. I don’t know how much I have to give you, Jacob. And I’m not just talking about my time either. I’ve been going down this lonely path for a while now and I’m not sure where it’s left me. Regardless of what we did today, I am still a married woman with commitments and responsibilities.” I hate bringing up this fact, but I need the reminder out there that this isn’t a fairytale. Its real life, and its messy.

He leans over and thoroughly kisses me before murmuring, “I know. And I’ll take whatever I can get with you. It’s better than having none of you.”

With that parting blow, he kisses me one last time, grabs his keys and heads out.

“Text me later, baby. I’ll be waiting.”

I sure hope I know what I’m doing, because it feels as though things are going to get extremely complicated.

Blog Tour: This Love of Mine by Amanda Bennett

We welcome Amanda Bennett and her amazing new book... This Love of Mine to our blog today!!
This is book #1 of three in The Raine Series. It contains mature language and situations
Blurb:
I needed an escape. An escape from my momma, a woman who cared more about herself than her own daughter. A woman who couldn't stand the sight of me since my father left. A boyfriend who was nothing but trouble. Trouble that I couldn't say no to.

Unfortunately, leaving them both would prove to be either the best decision I could ever make, or the biggest mistake of my life.

My plan was to escape to the one place I always felt safe. A place where life is simple and quiet, and a place where I could finish my senior year of high school unscathed. Abernathy, Texas was my second home, and my grandparents were the parents I aways wanted. There was no one around this one horse town to complicate my life any further, or at least that's what I thought. That was, until I met Madison Raine.

He held the power to turn my peaceful escape upside down and inside out with just one look. He was beautiful, in every sense of the word and with that beauty, came trouble. There were a million reasons why I should stay away from him, but none of them seemed to matter when I caught sight of those emerald green eyes. It was becoming clear that staying away from Madison would be harder than I had anticipated.

A past like mine never fully disappears, until you find yourself faced with the irreparable truth that sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands, consequences be damned.

Kayla James (KJ) was everything I never knew I wanted. This was the last summer I would be on the farm before I headed off to college, and meeting her was the last thing I expected. I didn't know what had brought her here, and I honestly didn't care. I had my own things to deal with and a relationship wasn't one of them. Little did I know that this girl, would wind up being exactly what I needed in every way possible.

Life hasn't always been easy, and telling my grandparents that I was going to college in another state was going to be the death of me, but it was something I needed to do. I needed a life outside of Texas, one where no one knew who I was or what I had lost. Between baseball and my band, I thought I had it made.

All it took was one look into those baby blues and I was a goner. I ended up needing her like I needed air to breathe, and everything inside of me wanted to be with her regardless of the outcome. How do you choose between love and life, and convince the one person who trusts no one, to take a chance on you?

Excerpt:
Just when I thought I would spontaneously combust, his lips touched mine and the ease of it all, floated through my body. Our kisses started out slow but quickly grew to a more aggressive pace. I trailed my fingers down his bare, sun-kissed skin on his exposed back. Every taut muscle beneath my fingers made me weak in the knees, and I was suddenly very grateful to be on my back. His feather light kisses touched every inch of skin, as he worked his way down my body. His long fingers slipped beneath my back, unhinging my bra and then his hands wrapped around the thin fabric, pulling it away from my skin. I heard him suck in a tightly strained breath… - Kayla

Blog Tour: Into the Light by HK Savage

  • Blog Tour: Into the Light by HK Savage
  • Cover Reveal: Let Love In by Melissa Collins
  • Cover Reveal: Bluffing the Devil by C.L. Foster

We are excited to have HK Savage here today to celebrate her 2nd book in The Admiral’s Elite series!!
Book 2 in The Admiral’s Elite series.
Blurb:
A vicious serial killer is on the loose in Wisconsin and it's up to the Admiral's Elite to stop him. Admiral Black's second in command, Captain Michael Rossi, has been tasked with finding out who or what the killer is and put an end to his reign of bloodshed while avoiding some pitfalls of his own. Like hiding the fact that he's falling in love with Becca from the admiral who would be sure to use it against them. Ghosts from Gabrielle's past threaten her place with her unit and Ryan's bed. Local police are puzzled and the town is terrified. The Admiral's Elite must find a killer, stop him without anyone finding out their true identities, and not be torn apart in the process.

Excerpt:
The smell of decay hit him full in the nose and Michael skidded to a halt, putting a hand out unnecessarily to signal Ryan to do the same. He’d caught the same scent. Both fell into a crouch and Michael squinted into the white mess, scanning for signs of movement.“Holy fuck,” Ryan breathed from beside him. “Found it.”Michael followed the track of his unit member’s gaze to behold the skeleton hovering on the rock, a living creature straight out of a nightmare. The wind had picked up with the storm and whipped the dark tattered clothing about the bony gray creature’s filthy head. He registered that the lump in front of it was alive and not a part of the rock. She was curled into a ball and a howling sob rolled out just as the creature lowered itself to touch her. Ryan’s snarl cut through the wind and the creature’s face came up. It was cut short as he beheld the thing exactly as horrible as Michael had described it. The gray flesh hung loosely over hollow cheeks and empty black eyes. Sagging lips did nothing to hide the fangs that were as long as a man’s ring finger and nearly reached the bottom of its chin. Seeing the stronger being that was Gabrielle incapacitated had Michael in a frenzy. Casting his eyes wildly about, he searched the area for Becca. There was no sign on the rocks or in the woods. And to further inflame his frustration, the wind gusted again, filling his nose with aged death and taking with it any chance of finding Becca that way. A second growl erupted from his shoulder mate and Michael quit any semblance of secrecy.“Becca!” he yelled. No answer.

Author This/That Questions: I LOVE her answers... especially the facial hair one!!

This/That
This. I'm a right now kind of girl.

Winter or Summer?
Summer, though after 6 months of snow I don't know if I'm going to see it again

Morning or Night?
If I stay up late enough I usually see morning.

Book or Movie?
Books. No question

Facial hair or clean shaven?
I usually like clean shaven because I have such sensitive skin stubble will tear up my face with kissing. I got busted in high school for that one. But recently I've developed a thing for a little 2 day beard.

Athletic or bodybuilder?
Athletic. Form follows function.

Rain or Shine?
Shine most of the time but sometimes a good rainstorm is a beautiful thing.

Sweet or sour?
Dark chocolate is my downfall so I'm going sweet.

Beach or Mountains?
I live on the beach but love the mountains. Trying to convince the family to move to Colorado.

Text or Call?
Mixed. Sometimes I need to get some info out there but don't feel like talking. Anything more than three sentences and I call.

Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook but I did just join Twitter last week. Worried I'll tip the scales of interesting/annoying if I go too nutty.

Check out this amazing cover and oh.. so... sexy snippet from Let Love In by Melissa Collins!!
Release Date: May 10th

Synopsis:
What would happen if you lost everything? If the people who were supposed to love you unconditionally were no longer there for you, how would your world change?

That’s exactly what happened to Madeleine Becker when her parents died when she was ten years old. Ripped from her home and everything that she has ever loved, she is forced to start all over again. The only way for her to move on is to build walls around her heart and keep everyone at a safe distance. Her logic: she can't get hurt if she doesn't fall in love.

That theory is blown to pieces when she meets Reid Connely during her freshman year at college. He is gorgeous and darkly mysterious. He understands Maddy's pain all too well, but sharing his pain would mean breaking down the walls he put up around his own heart. Conflicted between loving Maddy and hiding his dark past, Reid starts to reevaluate his world. Maddy's inner strength, snarky personality and breath taking beauty help Reid to make peace with his past.

Together they find out what happens when they let love in.

Snippet of Maddy and Reid’s first encounter:
There was a group playing quarters on the island and another group lining up shots on the breakfast bar – so not my scene. I just shrugged my shoulders, opened the door, pulled out a bottle of water and, when I turned around to walk back outside, I face-planted into a wall of solid muscle.

“Hand me one?” His voice was smooth and... gruff at the same time. Red-faced, I turned back around and got him his water, glad for the cool respite that the opened refrigerator door offered.

“Here you go.” I could not peel my eyes away from his mouth as he moved the bottle to his lips. They were perfect - beautiful and full in a completely masculine way. I watched, completely fascinated, as his throat moved, downing the water in three or four large gulps. He wiped his mouth with his forearm and I couldn’t help but let my eyes travel up the rest of his arm to his biceps and shoulders – those were the same as his lips – perfect. Amazingly, gorgeously, utterly, divinely perfect. Muscled and tanned, his arms were mouthwatering.

My knees wobbled. My heart thudded. Thousands of butterflies spread their wings in my belly.

“Thanks…” he stared blankly at my face for a minute and I couldn't help but wondering if he liked what he saw. He cleared his throat and roused me from my little daydream where the gorgeous boy is mesmerized by the maybe-a-little-above-average looking girl. That’s when I realized he was asking for my name.

“Maddy. Sorry, my name’s Maddy." I nearly choked on my tongue to get my freaking name out.

Author Bio:
I’ve always been an avid reader. Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer. Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer. I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it. When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity. My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there. I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Will she sacrifice her soul for victory? Love? Or does she want something else entirely?

The stakes have never been higher for Alexia than they are when she is bluffing the Devil!

Excerpt:
He slithered his way across the casino floor and instantly his predacious gaze locked onto me. In a spontaneous act of avoidance, I burrowed into the crowd a bit deeper and tunneled my way through the unsuspecting human-shields and headed toward the mock-safety of the elevators. Not that I am afraid of him, far from it, I just cannot stand cocky bastards that think they are God's gift to the game. Especially when it's obvious that the only reason he chats me up so often is he is trying to learn my strategy and make a place for himself as poker royalty. Not on my watch, chump. But wait, I am not prey in this situation! I am never going to be someone's doormat or stepping stone ever again! Resolve hit me suddenly and I pivoted on my heel quickly, nearly slamming into his eye-level chest. Man, he was fast! And tall, geez. When did he get so tall? How had I never noticed that before? Ahh yes, always sitting at a poker table and only having to deal with his consuming gazes. This was a new level of freak-out.

"Is there something I can help you with, Rey?" I said as I craned my neck to see the tower of man before me, "Or were you on a mad dash to bilk someone of their life savings or rob some unsuspecting college girl of her panties and possible virtue tonight?"

"You wound me, truffle." He drawled with his gorgeous Latin accented "r".

Seriously? What is up with everyone and their nicknames for me lately?

"I decided at the last moment to switch to this hotel so I could be away from the action over at Caesar's and as I was registering I couldn’t miss your glorious essence calling to me from the crowd."

As if I was "calling" to him? Pssh. As if!

"And I just had to come speak to you and make sure you are doing well. Are you busy? You seemed in a hurry."

Rey could fool most people into thinking he was innocent or sweet or whatever façade he wanted to wear today but I know poker players and I know men and he was not fooling me one bit. He always stayed at Caesar's, which was one of the most important reasons I never did. Had he followed me? There would be no point in that. I have to stop being so paranoid.

"I was in a hurry yes, I.. uh.. have a date." It was sort of the truth. I was planning on going to my room for a nap before the tournament and was also praying that I would have a few moments with my Dream Guy, that always settled my nerves and gave me a little something extra to smile about.

A flash of something crossed Rey's face. Amazingly, I couldn't decipher if it was anger, confusion, or some other emotion. Even though I have been training to read people's faces, actions, words, and other characteristics for years now, he somehow managed to show an emotion I hadn't seen before. Weird. Well-played, sir. Game on.

  • Free on Smashwords:  Charmeine by Author Emily Guido
  • Cover Reveal: Plotting to Win by Tara Chevrestt
  • Cover Reveal: This is Forever by S.A. Price

Today we welcome Kristen Day to our blog! She is celebrating her Daughters of the Sea series!! A series I for one LOVE!!!!
Forsaken: Daughters of the Sea Series-Book #1
Goodreads- Forsaken
Blurb: Once you’ve been touched by darkness, it never leaves you…
Abandoned by her parents as an infant; seventeen year old Hannah spent her childhood wading through countless foster families until being adopted by the Whitmans three years ago.
Unfortunately, Atlanta’s high society wasn’t quite ready for Hannah…or the strange events that plague her.
Chilling visions of murder, unexplained hallucinations, and  dark, mysterious guy who haunts her nightmares all culminate to set in motion a journey of self-discovery that will challenge everything she’s ever believed; not to mention her sanity.
Sent to live at The House of Lorelei on Bald Head Island, NC for ‘kids like her’, Hannah quickly realizes things are not what they seem. Her fellow ‘disturbed’ teens are actually the descendants of mythical Sea Gods and Goddesses. And so is she.
But when Finn, the ghost from her dreams, appears in the flesh; her nightmares become reality and her dark visions begin coming true. Inexplicably drawn to him, she can’t deny the dangerous hold he has on her heart. The deadly secrets he harbors will ultimately test her courage and push the boundaries of her love.
She must decide if she is ready to embrace the ancient legend she is prophesied to be a part of. The fate of all the descendants will forever depend upon it.

My Review:
I love how Kristen Day took the paranormal/fantasy genre of gods ad goddesses and turned it into a love story and a story of self discovery!! I was obsessed with this book and could not put it down. Problem is... when I finished I had to instantly begin book 2!!! Thank goodness this series is available now and my patience doesn't have to be very strong! :)

Hannah is an awkward introvert who hasn't found her place in society. She was abandoned as an infant, went through some terrible foster homes, and was finally adopted by a family. She never felt like she belonged and always just felt different from everyone around her. Little did Hannah know that she was nothing like them... LITERALLY!!!

Hannah experienced horrible nightmares and dreams that she just couldn't grasp onto what they meant. Being the adopted child of a socialite meant that her odd behavior was unacceptable and her parents soon sought "help" through therapy. When a therapist suggested Hannah be sent to a home for troubled teen"just like her", her mother was eager to ship her off.

Upon arriving at her new home, The House of Lorelei on Bald Head Island, NC, Hannah soon uncovers lots of hidden secrets and discovers a life she never even knew existed! Hannah's schoolmates and herself are not disturbed teens, but actually descendants from gods and goddesses!! There is  a legend involving Hannah and she has to decide to believe it or not. She is tossed into the middle of a battle between the Tydes and the Sirens and learns quickly that everyone is not what they seem and she must make alliances with those around her.

What makes this story so intriguing is not only the gods/goddesses aspect, but also the dark, sexy, protective Finn!! Hannah has had dreams of a black haired blue eyed stud muffin for years!! She is shocked to find out that he really does exist and she soon falls head over heels for him. Rumor has it that Finn is cursed and Hannah's new friends are not too keen on encouraging her crush for him. Finn is a living, breathing, walking, talking house of secrets that  drives Hannah crazy. I was definitely rooting for Finn and only wish I was 17 again. ;)

I give Forsaken 4 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! I can't wait to dive into book 2 and see where Hannah and Finn's journey lead them!!

Excerpt: Awaken
“Do you think dead doctors like sexy nurses?” Carmen narrowed her eyes and wiggled her dark brown eyebrows.
“Please tell me you aren’t going to dress up as a sexy nurse again,” Phoebe snarled at Carmen with frustration. “That’s what you wore last year!”
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Carmen shrugged her shoulders and twirled a dark brown lock of hair around her finger.
“It is kinda overdone,” Phoebe contended; scrunching her nose.
“And your sexy cop outfit isn’t?” Carmen challenged her. “Six other girls wore the same costume last year.”
“Yea, but I was the only one with a pink cop uniform and fishnets,” Phoebe rested her hands on her hips with indignation, “and I’m going to be something different this year anyway.”
“Fishnets? Seriously?” I gawked at Phoebe. I would never be able to pull fishnets off. Somehow I knew they looked absolutely amazing on her.
“When did Halloween turn into an excuse for girls to dress up like cheap sluts?” Willow chastised no one in particular, shaking her head.
“Don’t knock it ‘til you try it,” Carmen grinned shrewdly.
“So what do you guys think?” Phoebe prodded us again. I had to admit, I was a little curious about the Drake house and what, if any, connection it may have to Nadia.
“Are you sure you know where it is?” Willow asked. Phoebe shook her head vehemently, and then looked to me for my consent next.
“It would be kinda fun…” I started and Phoebe jumped up and down in her seat. Two yes’s and one to go. We all turned our attention to Carmen.
“Alright, but if a demon takes over my body and forces me to cut your heart out, don’t blame me,” Carmen cautioned her.
“I’ll just come back and haunt you every chance I get,” Phoebe challenged her with a steely expression.
“In your pink cop uniform? Ohhh, I’m shaking with fear already,” Carmen countered sarcastically.
“You guys really shouldn’t joke about that,” Willow chided. “If the legends about the Drake house are true, you’ll be eating your words.”
“I personally think the doc just went crazy and decided to slaughter his whole family. Probably cooked up the hearts and ate them himself,” Carmen theorized.
Eww! Don’t say that!” Phoebe shrunk back in revulsion while Carmen smiled in triumph.
“Make no mistake,” warned a deep, foreboding voice behind us. “Demons are very real.”
“Ever heard of a doorbell?” Carmen scowled, “You can’t just go jumping out of the shadows anytime you feel like it.”
“But it’s so much more fun,” Finn smirked at her and then easily met my gaze. He leaned against the doorframe with inherent confidence. He was dressed in jeans and a gray t-shirt, while his handsome face was eerily shaded with the living room light at his back, “Plus I brought something I think you guys will be very interested in…” he teased cryptically. My tortured heart proceeded to hurdle up in my throat.
“The map?” I choked; my voice coming out an octave higher than I intended.
“The map,” he confirmed smugly. Willow gasped and a silence fell over our small balcony. All at once everyone bounded into the living room with renewed exhilaration.
“I’ll get markers!”
“I’ll get a notebook!”
“I’ll get the pixie sticks!” The stampede halted long enough for us to give Willow a curious glance.
“I always eat candy when I study,” she explained and shrugged her shoulders.
We posted up at the coffee table like a pack of kids waiting for ice cream, eager to catch a glimpse of an actual map of the Underworld. Finn produced a large unassuming piece of paper rolled up and secured with a rubber band. Either The Sons have incredible preservation techniques or this was a printed version.
“Shouldn’t it be…older?” I scratched my head.
“I was only able to bring a copy of it…,” he justified with a slight grin. “The actual map is thousands of years old, not to mention it’s housed in a remote, undisclosed location; unknown to most descendents.” The gleam in his eye told me he wasn’t including himself in the ‘most’ category. I could only imagine the kind of information he was privy to. I wondered what it must be like to be Finn Morrison, Future Prime and hottest guy on earth. Being that sexy must comewith immense responsibility and pressure. Oh, and the whole future-Prime-thing must be hard too. I giggled at my own thoughts; consequently attracting odd looks from my roommates.
Finn, apparently used to my random outbursts, carefully unrolled the map; spreading it out on the table and securing its unruly corners with Phoebe’s teal and white tile coasters. A blanket of stillness cloaked the room as we gazed upon the most impressive map we had ever seen.

My Review:
Oh my goodness!! Just when I think Kristen Day and her Daughters of the Sea series could not get anymore exciting.... she writes Awaken!! Wow! I am absolutely in book love with Kristen Day! Once again, I read this book in 1 day and COULD NOT put it down!! Bravo girl... BRAVO!!!

In Awaken, Hannah is now Anastasia (which is her real name) or Stasia as her friends call her. We have learned all about her real birth parents and that she is the future queen of the Tydes.... but she has to go through the ritual on her 18th birthday to become immortal. Problem #1... she was adopted and has no idea when her true birthday is! Once again her gang of friends and the luscious Finn are on a quest to help her discover her birthday and guide her through the upcoming ritual. I love all of the characters in this series. I was asked who was my favorite character and I actually had to think about it. I have a major crush on Finn, LOVE Stasia,  but her girlfriends can get me in stitches with their arguments, fights, questions, and I admire the way they 100% support Stasia!

We are also introduced to one of my most favorite characters to HATE in this book as well.  NADIA..... just the name gives me the willies and makes me want to jump in the book and punch her in the throat! She s just that evil, and warrants an immediate reaction from you right when you meet her! Nadia also has her own little secret which I am not going to tell you about because.... I want you to READ this series!! ;)

Awaken delves deeper into Stasia's past, present, and future. We learn more about her birth parents, who she really is, what she has to do to fulfill her destiny, and there are more secrets uncovered!! Once again, Kristen Day has rocked my world!!! I give Awaken 4.5 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! I find it difficult when reading some series for them to get better and retain my attention.. Daughters of the Sea series is definitely NOT one of those. They get better and better, uncover more to the story, and I find myself totally wrapped up in them! I can only shiver at what Chosen, book 3 will hold for me!!

Chosen: Daughters of the Sea Series Book #3
Goodreads- Chosen

Blurb: The essence of who we are lies not in what we have, but in what we are willing to give up.  Because in the end, Time and Tide wait for no one.
After sacrificing all that she had, the evil princess of the Underworld is still successful in her bid to tear Finn from Stasia’s life.  In the midst of her search to reclaim him, Stasia is summoned to the island nation of Cyprus to take part in an age-old ritual; unveiling the missing pieces of her ancestry and re-igniting an ancient war.  As she struggles to both save Finn’s soul and free Carmen’s mind, Stasia’s bravery and determination will be pushed to its breaking point.  A dark storm is forming on the horizon, and the forces who are vying to destroy her may be much closer than she thinks.  Destiny weaves a sticky web of evil, betrayal, and revenge that can only be undone by the purity of love and the soul’s unyielding will to survive.  In the last installment of the Daughters of the Sea trilogy, the past will collide with the present as Stasia’s future hangs in the balance.  The prophecy that paved the way for her new life may indeed be the very thing that strips her of the ones she loves the most.

My Review:

WOW!!! What an amazing ending to an out of this world trilogy!!! Daughters of the Sea had me sucked into their world of gods and goddesses from book 1!! I read this entire series in 3 days and was glad to give up sleep, food, and even water so I could find out what happens with Stasia's journey!!

Chosen picks right up where Awaken left off. It answered all of my questions, thoughts, I wonders, and more! This is the final book in the Daughters of the Sea trilogy and wraps this series up in a nice, shiny package with plenty of secrets, drama, forgiveness, betrayal, and even more Finn.... SQUEEE!!! Stasia and Finn explore their relationship deeper, she learns more about her prophesy and what she needs to do to become a sea goddess, and of course has a pesky little twit that wants to throw a wrench in every plan she devises! Chosen only infuses my hatred for Nadia and makes me love Stasia even more! If I ever wanted to be a goddess before, now I want to be a tri-goddess and have that luscious Finn all to myself!! Problem is... I adore Stasia and what she stands for. She is a captivating character that connects with readers early on in Forsaken and doesn't let go!

I love how Kristen Day tells us not only Stasia's story, but we learn more about her friends, family, and those adorable Sons. I give Chosen 4.5 stars on the knock my socks off scale and can only hope she will one day bless us with an epilogue of Stasia and Finn..... maybe a book about their kids.. HINT.... HINT!! ;) I adore this series and encourage everyone who likes this genre to grab a hold of these 3 books, lock yourself in a room, and ENJOY!

About The Author: I am a southern belle at heart with a crazy streak that desperately tries to escape at every opportunity. I love all things nostalgic, rustic, and quirky. I've been told I see the world through rose-colored glasses, but I prefer to think of them as kaleidoscope glasses - swirling and morphing reality into something I can digest (who hasn't pretended those pasty lima beans were really kiwi strawberry jelly beans?).
I am the author of the DAUGHTERS OF THE SEA trilogy, which includes FORSAKEN, AWAKEN, and CHOSEN (Winter 2012). I love all books, but really enjoy writing young adult, paranormal romances. I've loved to write for as long as I can remember. My first published work was my poem RED in second grade (you guessed it - it was a poem about the color red - life altering, I know) that won me 5 gold stars and a spot in my elementary school's poetry book. That's when my addiction to the written word officially began. I was the only kid in fifth grade that actually enjoyed diagramming sentences. Go ahead and laugh – it’s okay.
When I'm not writing I'm making jewelry, painting, drinking sweet tea, watching the discovery channel, or going on random adventures in the mountains of North Carolina with my amazing husband. I graduated from Appalachian State University and dream of becoming a full time novelist.

Can romance develop between a Heavenly Light-Bearer and a Hellish Vampire Blood-Hunter? Tabbruis is an extremely attractive Blood-Hunter who has reconciled himself to be alone forever. Over millennia Tabbruis has wandered the Earth alone, aimlessly living through many historical events. Charleen (aka Charmeine) was found in 1997 as a teenager, unable to remember where she was from or where her family was. She was sent to an orphanage where she met her best friend, Shane. With determination, she works hard and becomes a school teacher. Tabbruis comes to her aid when she is attacked by a Blood-Hunter. Charmeine’s power as a Light-Bearer, one who throws lightning, is triggered when she meets Tabbruis, and it grows exponentially. When they meet, the attraction is immediate, romantic and passionate. They are polar opposites and clash together in a dramatic way. Will Charmeine and Tabbruis fulfill their destinies? Will they realize their importance in both the Blood-Hunter and Light-Bearer world?

Emily Guido is a new Paranormal Romance Author. She was inspired to start writing "Charmeine" because one day she got an idea of two characters that needed to have their story told. Not ever dreaming a week later she would have over a 100,000 words written. When Emily writes, it is similar to you or I watching a movie. She pictures the characters in her head going through vivid descriptions of each scene. There are so many nuances going through her mind that she cannot type fast enough. The novels “Mactus,” “Accendo,” “Seditious,” and “Ransom,” are the continuation of the wonderful adventures of the inhabitants of The Castle Charmeine! Emily is currently writing “Conundrum” the Sixth Novel in “The Light-Bearer Series” She works at a College full time, and pursuing her Master of Business Administration. We also have S.A. Price on our blog today revealing the cover for her book This is Forever!!

Maybe you have seen this little graphic about?
Did it get you curious? Winter is the very sexy bassist for the band 13 Shades of Red, and his book, THIS IS FOREVER will be releasing December 2013. Wanna see the cover?
Now isn’t that just sexy? From now till December if you check out some of your favorite blogs that are rocking the mini graphic on the side column, we will be giving some teasers, excerpts and interviews about the book, on the 10th of the month.

Believe me; it really is going to be a Long Hard Winter. *wink*

And now… for a sexy sneak peek at THIS IS FOREVER…

Seeing Lola after eight months was a fucking kick in the teeth. She had changed her hair, it was purple with black streaks, and she was wearing one fucker of an outfit. Platform Mary Jane’s, her signature, purple torn fishnet thigh highs with garters that ended in bows with skulls on them, micro mini in black satin with a lace trim. She had tripled up on her belts, her little baby tee molding to her torso like a second skin. It was razor cut in places, showing skin and the purple of her lace bra. Her arms warmers were knitted with little skulls on them. He was pretty sure she wasn’t wearing underwear also, the girl just loved to shock. Dare he think it was for his benefit? He wasn’t sure he even saw her, thinking he was dreaming the perfection before him.

But dreams don’t blow you off… at least his didn’t. His dreams, her especially, blew him. When dreams blew you off, those were called nightmares, and those sucked. Sucked like life was sucking right now. She had walked in with the rest of her band, greeted everyone but him, her gaze lingering a little too long on Colin, Rhys’ little brother, but then moved on as she kissed cheeks and hugged people.

He had to adjust his groin, discreetly of course, when she and Saffron hugged and snuggled. Apparently over the past several months Saffron and Lola had become quite the BFF, with Lola staying at Saffron’s place in New York when she had to go in for several shoots and meetings with her record company. Rhys had teased him about getting face timed and seeing both of them in little booty shorts and white tank tops… but he didn’t think they were that close.

And worse, he didn’t think seeing her all snuggly with Saffron would illicit the images rolling through his head. Not that Saffron wasn’t hot, but he just didn’t dig his best friend’s girl like that. He grabbed a tootsie pop and unwrapped it, sticking the thick ball into his mouth. He watched her move from person to person, but never to him. What. The. Fuck.

When everyone sat down, she sat at the other end, didn’t even bother to look at him. He went through dinner in a blur, his anger getting to him more and more. What the fuck was going on? He was beginning to feel like he was invisible. Maybe it was a nightmare? When she got up and went to the bathroom, he followed, after exchanging a meaningful look with Rhys.

“So you’re just not going to say anything to me?” he said as he caught her coming out of the bathroom.

She looked at him and then sighed. “I didn’t want a public thing to happen.” Public thing?

He cocked his head and scowled. “And what the fuck does that mean?” She looked him up and down. “I don’t know if I’m ready to say hi like I want to.” Winter rolled his eyes. “So you can wrap yourself around Saffron, eye Colin up like he’s a steak, which by the way he’s not even eighteen yet, eww,” he ticked off on his fingers, “Yet you can’t even just turn and wave at me?”

Lola shook her head. “It’s not what I wanted. And Colin is going to be very popular…” “You just didn’t wanna talk to me at all?” he asked, thoroughly confused. She was the one that pushed for the tour, and by all accounts she didn’t have issue with their past. It was what gave him hope.

She moved closer and shook her head. “That’s not it.”

“Then what’s it?” he bit out, his hands clenched at his sides. Gods, only she could infuriate him like this. Fuck she smelled good. All honey and warm clover… no one smelled like Lola. Her voice lowered. “Do you like my outfit Winter?”

He growled. Fuck yes he liked her outfit. Loved. Wanted it crumpled on the floor of his bedroom. Wanted to peel it from her slowly, kissing every inch of skin he exposed. She reached for him, her fingers tugging him closer by the belt loops of his jeans. “Good. You’re supposed to. You don’t get anything from me Winter Tulane. No greeting, no, little wave, no explanation. Eat your heart out baby.”

She got closer, her lips just against his, a slight almost imperceptible move of the hoop through the middle of his lip and then she was gone, back towards the party, her ass shaking with a sashay that had blood rushing from every place in his body to his cock. Fuck. What the hell was going on?

“Hey Lo,” he called after her. She gave him the finger and kept walking. Game on. Game fucking on, he thought as he followed her back into the room. Confusion didn’t even convey how he was feeling about what happened, but holy fuck the signals she was throwing off were so convoluted he didn’t know if he should fist pump for getting her so close to him or brood over her words.
