Excerpt:
I took a shuddering breath and looked back over at the smiling nurse. "Can I hold him?"
"Of course!" She came closer to us, realizing my hesitation. "Do you want me to pick him up and hand him to you?"
I nodded my head. She leaned in and scooped him up and he started fussing. She pointed with her head to a rocking chair that was next to me. "You can sit there if you want."
I took a seat and she handed me my son. As soon as he was in my arms he took a deep breath and settled down. Mrs. Cahill had tears in her eyes but stood aside and gave me this time with him.
The nurse winked at me and said, "Looks like someone knows who their dad is. I’ll leave you two alone for a little bit; if you need anything just let me know."
I looked up at her and smiled. "Thanks. By the way, what’s your name?"
She returned my smile, "I’m Lynn."
"Thanks Lynn."
My Review:
Oh my goodness!!! If you thought Trying Not to Love You was awesome.... just wait until you read Easy To Love You!!! Megan Smith seriously is an evil genius when it comes to writing stories that suck the reader into her fictional world and will not release you until you are 100% finished with the book!! I laughed, cried, yelled, and wanted to punch someone... AKA Brittany... in her throat!
Easy To Love You picks right up where TNTLY left off. We are allowed deeper into Hunter and Kenzie's life, but with some major obstacles happening in between them and everyone else. Secrets are exposed that threaten to destroy the relationships of the people we adore! I loved that we were also able to get to know Hailey and the Cahill brothers even more and I am dying to know what happens with Hailey and Mason. I left off reading this book so entirely pissed at him that it will take a miracle for him to win me back!!
Hunter is as usual MY HERO!! I love that guy! He really steps up to being a Daddy and makes me fall even harder for him. He oozes sex, charisma, and sensitivity that I would fight for him myself! There were parts where I thought Kenzie was being an idiot, but then I would think about it from her stand point and totally agree with her. Their family dynamics are so adorable and intriguing, that you can't help but feel like you are part of it yourself.
I would love to go on and on about Easy To Love You, but I will not give any spoilers seeing as how I think everyone needs to read this book like 10 minutes ago!! I easily give ETLY 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale... If my scale went higher, I would bump that baby up to that number! Megan Smith doesn't fail in writing a book that brings out lots of emotions and keeps me coming back for more!

I’m pressed firmly against him, and my hands rest on the hardness of his muscled chest. The nearness of him is intoxicating. My heart speeds up with the knowledge of what is inevitably going to happen next. Right now, I don't care how long I've known him, or what the usual rules of dating dictate. We are staring at each other, eye to eye. “I’m going to kiss you now, Charlie,” Maverick whispers. At that moment, all I can do is nod. No words were going to be coming out of this mouth; it was going to be used for other things. Maverick moves his arms from around my waist, gently cups my face with his hands, and tips my head back some. He places his lips on mine, and it feels as if time is standing still. The kiss starts out oh so slowly, and as we find our rhythm, it begins to increase in pressure and intensity. My arms, having a mind of their own, begin to wrap around his neck and pull him even closer, although I'm not sure how that is even possible. I honestly didn’t think we could get any closer together than we already were. Maverick kisses me like I am everything, like I am his last dying breath. I have never been kissed like this before. I finally draw away from him to catch my breath. “That was…” Maverick looks me in the eyes. “Wow.”
