Excerpt

Pulling away from my mouth, she gazed at me, her pupils fully dilated. “I’m ready to come. Are you?”

“Margo,” I grunted, taking hold of her hands. I wanted to kiss every inch of her skin. “I’m going to take my time with you. Suck on your clit until you soak my mouth.”

“Let’s go somewhere. Anywhere.” She piloted my hands down between her thighs. “Fuck me. So hard you bruise me. Fuck me everywhere,” she begged. “So rough it hurts. Really. Hurts. Can you?”

“Yeah.” I captured her wrists.

We stared at each other. She asked me to hurt her. Something I’d never delivered to another woman, but with her everything was different. Margo unlocked a side of me that demanded I mark her. Even if it meant she’d experience pain mixed with pleasure. I got what she was after—I hungered to give her that and more, but not in my truck. We’d need hours…days. And a plan.

“Please,” she whimpered, her breath sweet against my mouth.

“Not here. The next time we fuck, I want you in my bed. Open and submitting to me. Baby, I’ll give you what you need. So much, you’re going to surrender completely to me. Or not at all.”

  • Cover Reveal: Every Breath by Tasha Ivey

Release Day Blitz!!!! Today we have the book Money Didn't Buy Her Love by June Kramin on our blog!!!

Blurb:
Trying to get his bearings on an unfamiliar street and not paying attention, Jeremy slams his breaks to avoid hitting the most beautiful bride he has ever seen. When Danielle climbs in his truck, he assumes she’s in a hurry to get to her wedding; he didn’t realize she was escaping one. He agrees to let her return to his apartment so she can call for help, only she refuses to leave.

As the days pass, Jeremy finds it harder to fight off her passes and claims of falling in love with him. Besides having almost ten years on her, Jeremy discovers the family secret she had been trying to hide. How could the daughter of a billionaire settle for a plumber living paycheck to paycheck?

Despite every tactic her father throws at her and an ex-fiancé who refuses to let her go, Dani stakes her claim to the only thing she has ever truly wanted in her life and fights to make Jeremy hers.

Excerpt:
“Exactly who the hell are you, Dani? Paris Hilton?”

She walked to a bench then sat down. “We’re doing this sooner than I hoped.”

“What’s your last name?”

Again she sighed. “Houseman.”

“You’re shitting me.”

“I wish I was.”

Jeremy sat down, afraid his knees would give away. “You’re… your dad is… Dani that’s…” He couldn’t form a proper sentence and opted to shut up.

“That’s pretty much how everyone reacts. It was nice while it lasted.” She went to stand up, but he held her hand and pulled her back down.

“First of all, nothing about this was nice, so cut the crap. You pretty much kidnapped and raped me… twice on that second one.”

She managed a giggle.

“I’m sorry I was a stammering idiot. I guess I’ve never been in the presence of a billionairess before. My humble plumbing and heating ass feels a little put to shame.”

She rested her cheek to his chest; he wrapped an arm around her. “I liked that you liked me for me, not who I was.”

“I don’t like you. What are you talking about?”

She gave him a playful slap on his chest. “You were starting to like me. Admit it.”

“Maybe I finally got to where I could tolerate your two a.m. jumpings.”

Again she laughed. “What Blake and I had was practically a medieval arranged marriage. His family is even more loaded than mine. I didn’t date much before him because I was always under lock and key. I was damn lucky I didn’t have a chastity belt put on me. If I was out with family without him, everyone swooned over me like a trophy. They wanted to date me because of who I was.”

“Don’t sell yourself short. You’re gorgeous.”

“You never said you like the way I look.”

“Am I dead? Come on, Dani. You have to know how beautiful you are.”

“I don’t think anyone has told me that – not anyone who didn’t want something from me, anyway.”

“Well then, I guess you can take my compliment off your list of firsts.”

“Why? You don’t want anything from me.”

“I wouldn’t go that far.” He moved her off his chest and stood up.

She followed him up. “You do like me. I knew it!”

“You are certifiable – a total nut job, one of the pickiest eaters I have ever known… but you drive me crazy.” She tiptoed up to wrap her arms around his neck, but he stopped her and held her by the wrists. “Nothing has changed, Dani. No, wait. In fact is has. It’s worse. We are even more of a mismatch than we’ve ever been. I’m still too old for you and you still need to wake up and quit your pouting. I knew I should have stuck to my guns about us. Nothing good is going to come to me for falling for you.

There’s no way your family will tolerate anything less than this Blake.”

About the Author-

SQUEE!!!! One of my faves, Tasha Ivey, is BACK with her new book Every Breath!!
Blurb:
How does someone give their heart away when they don’t have all of the pieces?
Not that Makenna really wants a second chance at love anyway. She is stuck in her tragic past, secretly living every day for her deceased fiancé, while her new boyfriend, Drew, is gently nudging her into the present.
Desperate to appear normal again, she slaps on a happy face and goes through the motions of a normal, healthy relationship—but with the exception of even a single kiss. And she’s okay with pretending, but Drew needs more than she’s willing to give.
Surprisingly, it’s an innocent letter from a soldier halfway around the world that has her seeing life differently. Sawyer is at his breaking point, and his depression sucks him in deeper every day. Makenna becomes his only lifeline to home, and he’s hanging on by a very weak thread.
By helping him, Makenna learns to let go of grief before she’s left with only a ghost of the woman she once was, finally freeing her from guilt and showing her that it is possible to love again. But when she discovers that both of the men in her life are hiding something, she makes two shocking revelations.
One of them is literally insanely in love with her, and one of them destroyed her happy ever after.
Even though a fairytale ending does await her, is she willing to face her own demons to fight for it?

Author Bio:
Tasha Ivey is a literature fanatic, whose love for the written word fostered her development into the writer she has become. A lover of an extremely erratic mixture of literature, she has been influenced by authors from Jane Austen and E.M. Forster to Charlaine Harris and Alyson Noel. But her biggest influence and literary hero? Nicholas Sparks. Aside from writing, since she doesn’t have anything other than a shriveled up prune on the left side of her brain, she prefers to spend her time being creative in other ways like painting, cake decorating, and various types of crafts. That is, if the constant voices streaming through her head allow her to stop making up stories for a while. Lucky for her, she has a huge supportive family, including her amazing husband and two kids, who doesn’t complain too much when she hangs out with her characters more than she does with them. She is currently working on her second novel, Every Breath, which is due to release this year, and she also plans to start a sequel to her first novel, Destiny Ever-changing, this summer.

Blog Tour: Suicide Note by Teresa Mummert Blog Tour: Adventures with Max and Louise by Ellyn Oaksmith Book Release Day: Life by Design by Elizabeth James!!

  • Blog Tour: Suicide Note by Teresa Mummert
  • Blog Tour: Adventures with Max and Louise by Ellyn Oaksmith
  • Book Release Day: Life by Design by Elizabeth James

I had the privilege to get an advanced copy of this amazing book to review. I would love to share the greatness that is Teresa Mummert!
Release date: March 15, 2013

Disclaimer: **This book contains no acts of suicide and it does have a 'Happily Ever After'** A soldier returning for mid-tour leave decides to stay with a cousin in Maine, after his fiancé leaves him for someone else while he is away at war. His cousin is going through his own devastation and is struggling to pick up the pieces and move on with his family. As they try to help each other through the pain, Shane's path crosses Jenn's and he soon learns that everything happens for a reason.

Review:
Rock my world is exactly what this book did to my heart and soul!!!! I still feel like my heart is permanently lodged in my throat and could burst open at any second. What an amazingly heartfelt, happily heartbreaking story of a couple who finally find their happily ever after!

Jenn is a part of a family that has taken her for granted and taken advantage of her passive demeanor her entire life. She is faced with the most degrading situation a woman could  fathom being dealt. Her fiancé left her for another woman.... But the other woman was no other than her SISTER!!! Who even does that?!?!? To make matters worse, her parents act as if she should just sweep the hurt under the rug and support her sister who is now marrying the douche bag.

Enter on the scene Shane, an Alpha male soldier who wants control of every aspect of his life and is on leave from Iraq. Shane has been dealt his own hand of bad luck lately. His fiancé married another man while he was at war without his knowledge. She now has a new husband in HIS house and with HIS dog. Needless to say Shane has washed his hands of women and is just going to focus on his visit with his cousin before he has to return to Iraq.

A chance encounter between Jenn and Shane change the course of their lives and lead them on a path to finding themselves, finding love, and finding how to trust another person again. Suicide Note sucked me in from the very beginning and I could not put this book down! I easily award this book 5 stars and highly suggest everyone to introduce yourself to these characters. This book made me laugh, cry, cry some more with happy tears, and overall just connect with the theme of a couple of people wanting to be needed by another person and them wanting to need that person in return.

Great job Teresa Mummert on this amazing love story!! If you have not read this book.... Get it now!!!

Adventures with Max and Louise
Ellyn Oaksmith

Book Description: This novel was originally published as an e-book in 2011 under the title Knockers. If you like Sophie Kinsella, Meg Cabot, and Liza Palmer, you'll love Ellyn Oaksmith!
Blurb:
Molly Gallagher does not like to be the center of attention. As the mysterious Diner X, her pseudonym for a restaurant review column, she thrives on blending in. But before you can say "medical malpractice," she wakes up from a routine procedure to find that her chart got switched with someone else's, and now her A cup runneth over.
Suddenly, unassuming Molly is turning heads wherever she goes. The man she's been pining for since high school is sitting up and taking notice, a very handsome stranger has captured her attention, and her lifelong dream of publishing a cookbook is about to come true. But Molly feels like an imposter. Will some advice from avery strange place help her figure out how to navigate her new, full-figured world?
Molly realizes her revamped shape might change her life. She just doesn't anticipate quite how much . . .
My Review:
Adventures with Max and Louise is a comedic contemporary romance book about a woman (Molly) finding herself in a very unconventional way. This story is hilarious and I could definitely see this as a book adapted into a movie! Max and Louise are constantly "chattering" and advising Molly on decisions about life, men, wardrobe, and anything they can speak their mind about. The problem is that Max and Louise are not people.... But her breast implants!!
Molly is a food critique that has had two enormous opportunities fall into her lap. The first mishap would be that she went in for a cosmetic surgery to have scars removed from her chest and came out with double D's!! She now has to learn how to accept her new "assets" as gifts and live her life with her new "friends... Max and Louise." The second opportunity that came her way was becoming a published cookbook author with a PR representative from Hell. Molly also happens to literally run into her high school crush and hopes to ignite a mutual love affair.
Of course, a good writer will have more than one love interest vowing to win the lady's heart. This is where the book lost and hooked me all at the same time. On one hand there was Chas, the high school crush, and Wolf, the son of a restaurant owner. Chas is a typical rich kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth, pompous ass that wants what he wants at the moment and can move on to the next conquest at a moment's notice. Wolf is a down to Earth, laid back, could care less what people think about him type of guy that has a genuine interest in Molly. I kept running into a brick wall about 50% into this book with the hopes that Molly would choose Wolf and I could hear more of their story. To my disappointment, most of the book was about Molly trying to win Chas over and failing miserably at times. I think Adventures with Max and Louise would have kept my attention a little bit better if there were more Wolf and less Chas.
I give this book 3 out of 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale. Adventures with Max and Louise was a good story. It had a comedic storyline with lovable characters. My only wish was that the story would have flown a little quicker. I loved the basis behind the story and the laugh-ability factor that it had, it just took too long for me personally to get to the end. I would still encourage book lovers to read this story. This is a well written book that gave me the giggles many times!
Excerpt:
“Here we go,” says the anesthesiologist. Poking the needle into my arm, he withdraws a tiny bit of blood into the clear drug he’s about to shoot into my vein. Red blood blooms in the benzodiazepine. I squeeze Angeli’s hand, grateful to have an ally in the room. She squeezes back hard, too hard. From the bed where I rest, prone in my unisex surgery gown, I can see thatAngeli’s brown eyes are scary huge, like melting chocolates. She stares at the needle, transfixed, her lush coffee-colored skin now ashy pale. She clasps my hand until my fingers tingle. I want to say something about my hand being strangled, but the drug is taking effect. My brain floats three feet above, watchingAngeli wobble unsteadily. Her skin fades further to a weird hue, lips purplish white. I haven’t seen her this shade since high school, when we drank all my dad’s Crown Royal and threw up on my mom’s prize Tropicana rosebushes. She’s going to faint.
In the back of my drug-addled brain there is a tug of remembrance, a creeping sense of doom. Why did Angeli quit medical school? Because she was tired of her doctor parents pushing their profession, their immigrant drive, their Indian lives down her thoroughly Americanized throat. That was it, right? Then I remember: she quit because she fainted at the sight of blood.
“You’re squeezing my hand too hard,” I squeal.
This isn’t happening. I’m shot full of drugs, going down faster than the Hindenburg, and my best friend, the person who is supposed to drive me, tend me, and take the helm while I am out of commission, is teetering like a drunk. My lips numb Lovely soft fuzz fills my brain. I remember some comedian’s quip about why so many people become drug addicts: because drugs are fun. I give Angeli a squishy smile, trying to form a sentence in my soggy brain, something about how she’d better not faint because I need her to look after me. Then Angeli disappears from view. One minute she’s there, and the next, nothing but wall space and a dull thud.
I turn woozily to the anesthesiologist. He looks down at the floor, a deep frown creasing his brow.
“Nola, we got a fainter!” he yells.
Panicking, I realize that this surgery, which is supposed to rid me of the scars on my neck and chest, boost my confidence, expand my career, and maybe even jump-start my love life, isn’t going well. And I haven’t even left the pre-op room. The last thing that goes through my head is this: I’ve picked the wrong damn friend.
Medical errors occur in 17 percent of all hospital procedures. Most of them are caused by understaffing, fatigue, lack of communication, and staff error. My best friend caused mine. When it came time to pick my advocate during surgery, it came down to five people: my sisters, Trina and Denise; my best friends, Martin and Angeli; and my dad. Trina was out because I was using her plastic surgeon. She’d spend all her time agonizing over whether or not to get a quick shot of Botox instead of looking out for me. My younger sister Denise is too busy chaining herself to whaling ships and picketing outside the federal building. Besides, she’d view plastic surgery as antifeminist, lecturing me on embracing my scars and wearing them like a badge of courage. My dad, well, surgery would remind him of the worst night of his life, the night I got the scars. Martin was busy covering my job at the newspaper.
Angeli, who never mentioned anything about queasiness at the sight of blood, could easily get someone to cover for her at the Clinique counter at Nordstrom. She seemed the obvious choice.
I subscribe to the domino theory of life. One bad choice or event triggers a chain of events that then lead to an explosion in one’s life. In this case, Angeli was the first tilting tile. Nurse Nola, who rushed to pick Angeli off the floor, was holding someone else’s chart. In her haste, she dropped the chart on my bed. Three minutes later I was wheeled into surgery with another patient’s chart. I wake up in the recovery room three hours later feeling as if I’ve fallen off a cliff. It’s not so bad, though, because I’ve landed in a warm pile of drugs. A wan, tired Angeliis at my side, holding my hand, smiling in her surprisingly empathetic way. In a chemical haze, I tilt my head from side to side. The room swims pleasantly as though I’m underwater. Dimly aware of a faint ache in my chest and neck, I float above the pain, enjoying my little high. This isn’t so bad. My surgeon, Dr. Hupta, told me I’d have lots more pain after the drugs wear off. But then he’ll give me more to take home. Easy peasy.
Across from me is a teenage girl with bandages covering her cheeks and nose, sipping from a green juice box. Her mother, in a pink velour jogging suit, flips through a movie magazine. They watch me as I blink my eyes woozily, struggling to sit up.Angeli jumps from her chair to help me.
“Here, here, I got it.” She presses a button, lifting the bed. As my head becomes level with hers, she whispers in my ear, nodding at the teenager. “One guess what she’s in here for.”
Before I can answer, a nurse bustles in, her neon white smile fixed. “Well, hello there. And how are we feeling after our big day in surgery?”
I try to say, “Fine.” It comes out, “Fiiiiaaaay.”
The nurse takes my pulse, listens to my heart rate, and hands me a juice box. “We need to get your blood sugar up, or you’ll end up on the ground like your friend here when you try to walk.”
Angeli rolls her eyes behind the nurse’s back. As soon as she leaves, Angeli whispers about my roommate. “Nose job. High school graduation present. Can you imagine? Happy graduation; how’d you like a new schnoz?”
Slowly I drink my apple juice, my head clearing slightly. “I doubt it went like that. Nice disappearing act back there.”
She rolls her eyes and shrugs. “Now you know why I flunked premed.”
“You said blood used to make you queasy, not parallel.” I wince as the pain radiates into my neck and shoulders.

Meet the Author:
Elizabeth Kirke wanted to be an author
before she even knew what an author was. She used to say that she wanted to be an artist, but that was only because she was too young to write and had to tell stories with pictures instead. She hasn't stopped writing since she learned how. It wasn't long before she dreamed of becoming an author and couldn't be happier now that that dream is a reality. If she isn't writing...well, let's be honest; if she isn't writing she's probably on Facebook thinking that she should start writing. But, if she isn't writing or on Facebook, she's probably doing something involving books, baking, gardening, or yarn. In an ideal world, she'd be reading and knitting while something from the garden is in the oven. Then again, in an ideal world, she'd have a flock of ducks and a couple of goats. Like most slightly-nosy, avid readers, Elizabeth can't resist trying to catch a peek at books she sees people reading when out in public to see if she can figure out what it is. While doing just that one day, she realized that it would probably be the coolest-thing-ever if she caught a complete stranger reading one of her books. That's her new dream.

Check out the Reviews for Book 1 (The Impostor):
Wow - what an amazing job Tiffany has done. There wasn't a moment that I wasn't engaged with the characters or the plot. The build up of mystery and tension in this suspenseful romantic novel is superbly done. I found myself constantly holding my breath and nervously listening for creaks in the house. There were some beautifully crafted romantic moments that had me swooning for Dylan, and several moments when I shed a tear. Stunning! The novel flowed very well, effectively creating a good balance of suspense, character interaction and the lovely romance. The ending. Oh my! Tiffany, what an ending you have created. I have no idea what to expect for book two, other than I can not wait to read it. And no doubt it will be as wonderful as The Impostor.”-Becky Johnson, Bex and Books
"I loved the suspense of The Impostor. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next book! I love Dylan and Nicole. The love story is like a fairy tale!"
- Amy Barnhouse
"The Impostoris an amazing novel about Courage, Faith, Love and the will to survive. Nicole is one of the strongest female characters I've ever read about. She inspires you to keep going but at the same time, lets you see that even in the hardest situations, it's good to open yourself up to new things. There's nothing better than a great love novel, but Tiffany Carmouche made it way more interesting adding suspense, action and tragedy. This is a must-read. You won’t be disappointed." Dann Barba
"I LOVED IT! It was great to see how the main character grew as a person—mistakes, unexpected love and all. The suspense pulls you forward and keeps you up at night. The men are steamy too (which never hurts)!" –Rocky Guzman
“Knowing that the story has a basis on the author’s experience brings the world into an eagle eye view. This book offers a great deal of social significance and insight into the ideals and dreams of women, as well as the fears and struggles. It’s not just a romance. It’s not just a mystery. It’s about growth, acceptance and having the spirit to continue when the horizon shows nothing but dark clouds and lightening. Life is Chaos, but it can be beautiful too, if you have the persistence and determination to see it through. If you like Nora Roberts’s mysteries, you will love Tiffany Carmouche.” Aleta O’brien, Fluer De Aleta
"Nicole had a vivacious personality, and her enthusiastic desire for adventure was believable. Tiffany did a nice job of portraying Nicole's vulnerability as a young mother desperate to provide her daughter a better life. Throughout the book, she kept her main character's actions, thoughts and dialogue consistent with that of a young woman. The same could be said for the other characters—they were easy to visualize, and I liked the way they interacted with each other. In addition, she did a nice job of establishing the settings. She also took advantage of Alaska's scenic landscape in several of her chapters, and provided well-crafted descriptions of the settings. -Lolita
"I love the fact that the characters evolved and built the suspense. Nothing beats a good plot and a hot guy too! The Impostor reminds me of the best-selling author Jayne Anne Krentz’s romantic novels. There is action that kept me interested along with the love story. If Tiffany Carmouche is not on your reading list, add her!" - India Wilson
