My Review:

OH-EM-GEE!!!!!  Beautiful Broken Rules is an absolutely stunning book!! I fell in immediate book love with this story, the characters, and the characters' pasts! Kudos to Kimberly Lauren and PLEASE tell me there will be another book about my fave people coming soon!!

Emerson Moore is  the school slut... she owns it, accepts it, even revels in it. She has set this reputation for herself and she is proud of it. She likes sex, has a good time, no strings attached, no hearts or mushy feelings needed, and then moves on to the next flavor of the week. Well, it doesn't last a week usually, no more than 3 nights of sex and she is happily moving on. She is a strong, bold, sexy blond bombshell. I loved the fact that she was not a damsel in distress and was so strong willed. Yet underneath that hard as stone exterior lay an insecure girl who wanted to never be left in life and guarded her heart fiercely. Em lost both of her parents when she was a young teenager and decided right then that she would not let anyone in her heart. That was the beginning of her three rules:

1. Never sleep with someone that a friend has feelings for,

2. Never sleep with someone who is in a known relationship and finally,

3. Never sleep with someone more than three times.

 

She broke one of those rules... and that was the beginning of her story!

 

 

Jaxon Riley... ***SIGH*** is there anyone as adorable, sexy as hell, or more charming than him???? He is a walking advertisement for I am going to rock your world, have you screaming my name, and then I will play with your hair! HE IS SO SWEET!! I fell for him the instant his character was introduced into the story... probably at the same time Em did, she was just more stubborn about it than me.  If I could jump inside this book, I would kidnap Jax and save him for myself... serious book boyfriend alert!!!

 

Beautiful Broken Rules tells the life of 5 amazeball friends... Em, Quinn, Cole, Jaxon, and Jace. I absolutely adored their friendship and thought they were so beautifully connected! I felt every emotion these guys felt because of the awesomesauce writing, and felt like I was right there with them from beginning to end. I can only hope, dream, and beg that there will be more books and this fab five will become a series... Jace next maybe????  I easily give this book 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale... If I could give it a million I would!! LOVE... LOVE... LOVE!!!!

Lately if I'm not traveling or chasing a toddler, I'm writing. Which is weird because I hated writing in college. Oh wait, that's because that was boring. Who really wants to sit there and cite all your sources into APA format? Not this girl. Writing for yourself is enjoyable and cathartic. Please try it. Then tell me about because I love indie authors.

When I was 19, I packed up and followed my high school sweetheart from Texas to California. We had a blast living it up in San Diego. Four years later we made a crazy decision and packed up again and moved to Germany. What? Yep, you read that right. Guess what? Best decision ever! We OWNED Europe. For three years we saw as much as we possibly could. We lived an hour outside of France, a couple from Switzerland and Italy. Most amazing time of my life. Please go out there and see the world, you won't regret it. After Europe we moved back to California, and for now we're just debating our next adventure.

I earned a degree in Child Development. And now I write novels. Makes perfect sense! I write because I walk around all day with these stories in my head. It's nice to be able to get them out of my head in an organized fashion. I hope that someone out there enjoys them, because I have enjoyed so many others'.
