We are super excited to have Scarlett Metal and her newest book, I Remember You, on our blog today!! AMAZEBALLS friends... simply amazeballs!!

Blurb:
Lance never got over his teenage love despite years of trying to forget her with with alcohol, music, and other women.

Samantha dated lots of different guys after Lance, guys most girls would love to have even a chance with. No one can make her happy though; she compares them all to Lance.

Fate brings them together when Lance is in town for some family business. They end up spending a passionate night together but can they be more? Can they finally find their happily ever after?

Excerpt:
Oh my god, she was here! This had not been part of her plan at all when she bought that ticket, but she had to admit she was thrilled. Samantha watched Lance walk to the front desk of the hotel. God his ass looked amazing in those leather pants.

She thought back to earlier, watching him during his show, especially during their song. She’d always. Her nipples tightened with excitement as she imagined those fingers moving over her body like they did over his guitar.

She couldn’t help but laugh when Lance started walking back to her, holding up his room key and a naughty smile. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him. His embrace felt amazing now as it did back when they were kids.

“Let’s go upstairs,” he murmured into her hair.

She buried her face into his chest for a minute. She nodded against him, not trusting herself to speak and pulled from his embrace. She took his hand without a word and led him to the elevator.

She was going to let this happen tonight, but would this be it? Were they still too different? Could they even make a relationship work? Her eyes stung as she fought back tears. She wanted to be with him tonight, to feel his lips on hers and his hands on her body. In a couple of days he would go back on the road and she worried they’d go their separate ways again. He was a rock star anyway; there was no way he would want to be with someone as plain and simple as her. Right?

She pressed the button to the elevator and gave him a shy smile. As much as she wanted him, she was so nervous. She opened her mouth to say something when the ding of the elevator stopped her.

“About damn time,” he muttered, pulling her into the elevator. When the doors closed behind them, he pressed his hips into her, pinning her between him and the elevator wall, his eyes dark with desire as he looked down at her. Her heart skipped a beat. He looked like a lion that was about to attack its prey.

She gasped, feeling his erection along her thigh. “Oh my god, Lance,” she murmured. He bent forward, letting his lips blaze a trail from her ear, moving down her neck.

He looked up at her and smiled when she let out a whimper. “Still have that spot, huh?” He asked.

No fair he knew her weak spot. “Mmhmm...Lance.” Her hands moved over the front of his t-shirt, pulling it from the waistband of his pants.

His lips continued their assault on her neck. “Yes, baby?” He murmured into her skin.“I need you,” she whispered, her hands sliding up the inside of his shirt, running her hands over his smooth chest.

“Fuck, Sam, I need you too,” he muttered against her ear. “You keep touching me like that and we won’t even make it to the room.”

My Review:

Wowwy... wow.. wow!! What a great novella that I flew through to finish!! Who says that books have to be long and drawn out??? Scarlett Metal has mastered the art of short reads that are packed with an amazing story line, touching characters, and her signature... HAWT sex scenes!! I Remember You is a home run!!

I Remember You is the story of two high school sweethearts who are torn apart by a pregnancy scare.... and it is not the two of them. I fell hard for Lance right off the bat in this book. He never felt like he was good enough for Sam. He was from a broken home, and she was from money. Even as a teenager he was endearing and your heart just bled for him. Sam is a natural beauty both inside and out. She has a heart of gold, but even her true heart is put to the test when Lance tells her he may have gotten another girl pregnant in one of their "off" times. It is too much for Sam to take and she breaks up with him.

Fast forward ten years... Sam and Lance have a chance encounter brought on by fate! Lance is now a famous rock star and Sam is about to publish her first novel. They run into each other... literally... at a gas station while Lance is in town to perform a show. You would have to be blind not to see the chemistry and the fact that neither one of them has gotten over the other. It is this spark that makes for some hot sex and leaves you crossing every limb hoping they get their happy ending with each other.

I give I Remember You 4.5 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! I loved this story, these characters, and how Scarlett Metal took a potentially sad story and turned it around in such a short read! Lance is a very sexy, sensitive, "real" rock star and he finds his equal in Sam. I found myself singing the Skid Row version of this book title throughout reading, and I LOVED IT!

Do you ever wonder what songs are playing in the author's heads as they wrote a book???? Here is what Scarlett Metal thought the music to match her book would be. I think they are PERFECT!!
“I Remember You” – Skid Row
“Faithfully” – Journey
“Home Sweet Home” – Motley Crue
“Your Arms Feel Like Home” – 3 Doors Down
“Gravity” – Sara Bareilles
“Hymn for The Missing” – Red
“Here Without You” (Acoustic version) – 3 Doors Down
“I Will Follow” – Art of Dying
“Believe” – Staind
“Out of My Head” (Acoustic version) – Theory of a Deadman
“Permanent” – David Cook
“Run” – Matt Nathanson featuring Sugarland
“Highway Don’t Care” – Tim McGraw
“Friend of a Friend” – Tim McGraw
“Heaven” - Warrant
