BLURB:
I screw men for money. Not literally, think phone sex operator with a 15 megapixel web cam thrown in. They tell me their deepest, darkest fantasies while paying me $6.99 a minute.

What would possess me to engage in such a business? Throw in a tortoured past, 24/7 murderous thoughts, and a desire to keep the innocent people of my small town safe.

I was contained, out of the way, sexcamming my way to utter obscurity until HE came along. A twisted client armed with a targets name. Annie. And in that name, everything changed.

Excerpt:
“Something happened, and I need advice.” I grip the phone tightly and wait for the psychiatrist’s response. “Another episode?”

“No - nothing about that. It’s Jeremy…you know the guy who-”

“You’ve had one human interaction in three years, I know who you’re talking about. What happened?”

“He left me a note. Outside. With my package.” I read him the note, trying not to add inflections that probably don’t exist. When I finish there is silence, silence that stretches out so long that I find myself fidgeting.

“What do you want from me, DeAnna?”

“I want you to tell me what to do! I don’t know how to handle this shit.”

“What do you want to do?”

“I - I don’t know what I want. I just need you to tell me what to do.”

“What was it like when you were with him?”

I stand, pacing the expanse between my two bedrooms. Crossing the thresholds feels like moving between my two selves – sex kitten to lonely woman. JessReilly19 to scheming murderess. I pushed against his hard chest and then he was there, in my mouth, his tongue pressed gently against mine, and my own traitorous mouth responded, my heart rate increased, my hands moved of their own accord, to his strong arms. Shoving the blade of the box cutters deep into his skin, the blood bursting from the movement, spraying gently upon my hand. I tasted him, greedy for everything, my hands roamed everywhere, grabbed at his shirt, hastily undoing the buttons. If he came back, if he came inside, I could be more prepared, could succeed in my quest for death.

“Deanna?”

I halt, trying to focus. “I’m sorry - what was the question?”

“What was it like when you were with him? How did you feel?"

“I wanted him.” On me, in me, dead beneath me.

“In what way?” Derek’s voice is so sensual, so soothing, so male. I make a decision, moving to my pink bed, and lay back on the sheets that smell of lube and latex.

My Review:
Oh! Em! Gee! Have you ever read a book and got about 65% into it and knew that you absolutely MUST finish the book like yesterday?!?!?! This is exactly how I felt while reading The Girl in 6E. This book has a dark beginning and middle that leads to one of the most beautiful and shocking endings I have read in a while! Kudos to Alessandra Torre for not only writing a book, but taking on a subject matter and a basis for a story that is unique, creative, and totally addictive!!

The Girl in 6E follows the life of a cam girl. She has convinced herself that she is a killer, since she has done it once before, and is determined not to fall into her own spell for the need to kill. Deanna locked herself into her apartment before graduating college and never, EVER leaves. She has everything delivered... clothes, necessities, groceries, even toilet paper! Deanna's only human contact is through the Internet, phone, or her door and walls. She has entrusted a neighbor to lock her IN her apartment every night in fear she will give in to her demons and go out to kill.

This story took a major twist when Jeremy was introduced into Deanna's life. He is her UPS man and has been hiding a secret love for the last 3 years for Deanna. He has never even seen her, but he knows that there is something about her that he must figure out. She is mysterious and her sexy voice speaking to him through her door has sparked his interest and his determination in meeting her... face to face. One chance meeting rocks his and Deanna's world, made me fall in love with him myself, and had Deanna second guessing everything she had worked so hard to protect.

I spent the entire first half of this book trying to figure out why Deanna was the way she was. I was so intrigued by her and could not figure her out! I was perplexed as to why she locked herself into a crap hole apartment? What happened to her in her past that made her think she was a serial killer? Was she really a killer or just felt the need to kill? Would she ever kill if she left her apartment or could she be a normal part of society and just didn't have any faith in herself? Then I read on and found out the why's and how's and spent the remainder of the book hoping like heck that Deanna's life changed and she found her happy ending. I felt so badly for this girl who had no friends, no family, no human contact and it tore at my heartstrings!

It has been a while since I read a book that I could not wait to tell someone about because it shocked the &%^$ out of me!! The Girl in 6E is definitely that kind of book and did just that! I give this book 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale and I can only hope that Alessandra Torre will write another book that will suck me into her creative world once again!

At one time I would have done anything to be close to him. But will that anything include betraying the man I pledged myself to and that loves me faithfully?

Samantha Monroe had it all. Or at least everyone thought she did. A career on the rise, a gorgeous husband, great friends and a beautiful home. So why does she feel so alone and empty? When she reconnects with an old flame, lines are tested and compromises made in a quest for happiness.

Jacob Matthews always wondered what happened to Sam Monroe. When fate brings them together after all these years, he can't help but wonder if it’s meant to be. But when he meets his perfect woman, there is no doubt in his mind she's his soul mate.

Will the search for happiness cost them everything or will their love square show them what really matters?

Exclusive Excerpt:
I awake and slowly blink the sleep out of my eyes. The sun is fading, casting dark shadows in the room. I turn my head to see I’m alone in the bed. Lying on my stomach, staring non-seeing into the room, I remember how exquisitely fucked I was just a few hours ago.

The feel of his hard body over me and his cock moving in and out of me, the sweat dripping off him as we both came. I feel myself get turned on all over again, and he isn’t even here touching me. Then I remember his muted words spoken right before I fell asleep.

“I want you to know I would have waited another sixteen years to be able to feel that with you again.”

I’m finding it hard to believe that Jacob could rescue me from the prison I’ve put myself in over the years, living the life of someone other than whom I feel I should be. Even if that is my true wish, wishes don’t always come true.

The hotel room door opens and Jacob walks in carrying a couple bottles of water from a vending machine, setting them on a side table. He looks yummy as he walks to the bed with a wide smile on his face. Sitting next to me on the edge of the bed, he bends down and kisses my shoulder and down my naked spine, stopping where the sheet lies just above my ass.

“Hey, sleepyhead.” He murmurs in between those drugging kisses. My legs start to stir beneath the sheet and I’m tempted to take another ride before I have to leave.

“Hi. If you keep doing that, you’re not going to be able to stop me from having my wicked way with you again and I need to leave soon.” I sigh with frustration.

“Maybe that’s exactly what I want.” Running a finger up and down my spine, he stretches out next to me.

“I’m sure it is, but I have stuff to get done before I’m back on the road in a few days. I warned you I didn’t have much time but I would do my best to make this work.”

“It feels like I just got you back, and now you have to go away again. I’d much rather see your beautiful face, instead of dreaming of it. Will you have time to sneak away
again before you fly out?”

“I’m not sure. We’ll have to play it by ear. I don’t know how much I have to give you, Jacob. And I’m not just talking about my time either. I’ve been going down this lonely path for a while now and I’m not sure where it’s left me. Regardless of what we did today, I am still a married woman with commitments and responsibilities.” I hate bringing up this fact, but I need the reminder out there that this isn’t a fairytale. Its real life, and its messy.

He leans over and thoroughly kisses me before murmuring, “I know. And I’ll take whatever I can get with you. It’s better than having none of you.”

With that parting blow, he kisses me one last time, grabs his keys and heads out.

“Text me later, baby. I’ll be waiting.”

I sure hope I know what I’m doing, because it feels as though things are going to get extremely complicated.
