Blurb:Britt Anderson went along with everything the doctors said for nearly four years, but she was still dying at eighteen. The cancer had won leaving her without a future, without any options, and without control. No control, except for how she would leave this world. As Britt tries to end her life by going into the frigid waters she realizes her mistake. She struggles to get back to shore, to cry out for help, but her atrophied muscles are useless and the frigid water steals the breath from her chemo-scarred lungs. Despite her father’s attempts to reach her, she flies over the waterfall.

When Allister Parks finds Britt’s fragile body on the riverbank something calls out to him. Ignoring the warnings of his sister, Allister brings Britt back from the edge of death. The only problem is that an Eternal like Allister isn’t allowed to touch those who have already passed from this world. It is forbidden; an infraction punishable by death.

As Britt relishes her new cancer-free life and senior year of high school, her very existence threatens Allister’s place in this world. Allister struggles to keep Britt a secret from the Eternal Council and out of the hands of the only Eternal who already knows the truth: the one who stole her guardian angel.

Author Interview:
How did Taking Angels come about? After reading the Twilight Series, I was inspired to write something that took that basic feel of paranormal to another level.

Where do you get your inspiration from? I’m inspired by human nature and how resilient the human spirit is. Any story of people stepping up for the betterment of the people around them inspires me.

Do you plan on this being a series? Yes. If so, how many books do you plan to write? It looks like 3 right now.

How long did it take to write Taking Angels? It took around six months to get the draft done and then a few months for edits and polish.

Was it difficult to pick a cover for the book? I’m fortunate to be surrounded by very talented people and after reading Taking Angels, our cover artist had a firm grip on the direction the cover should go, so it was very easy.
My Review:
Oh my goodness!! What a great read this book is!! I was sucked in from the very beginning to Britt and her struggle with cancer to fight for her life!! I love how CS Yelle took a potentially heartbreaking story, turned it paranormal, and made it a journey through the life of a teenage girl!

Britt Anderson wasn't supposed to live. She wasn't supposed to WANT to live for that matter. She had planned on taking her own life over a waterfall to end her suffering from cancer. She didn't want her family and friends to watch her die right before their eyes and saw no other way out besides suicide. A couple of Eternals and one rogue Eternal had a different plan for her though. Which begins the tale of Britt's new found life and journey.

Alastair is hot, romantic, and head over heels for Britt... could he be worth living for???? Please say yes Britt!!!! ;) One problem... Alastair is an Eternal. He finds Britt teetering on the brink of death from her spill over the waterfall and his touch heals her... but it does more than heal her. It turns her to an Eternal like himself. Where is the problem??? Well, the problem is it is forbidden for an Eternal to make another Eternal and the punishment is death. Now Britt not only has to fight for her own life, but that of the ultra-stud Alastiar as well!! I have to say the kick butt Britt rocks and I LOVED that she found that side of her and put it to use!

CS Yelle weaves a web of romance, angst, fear, death, laughter, and love into an amazing story!! I give Taking Angels 4 stars on the knock my socks off scale and cannot wait for book 2!! Now, when can we expect that book CS??? ;)

Blurb:
In the aftermath of a battle that forced Ruby to flee the safety of the guardian angels, she settles into a small town, hoping to blend in and forget about the ones she loved. It isn’t until Hunter stumbles across her working in a bar and a well-timed email from Ivan Aleksandrov that she realised she could go back to Sage Sanctum—for a few days, at least.

Out for revenge, Lucian will stop at nothing until he has Ruby for himself, but he isn’t the only one that needs her. The council, a group of gods/goddesses have a mysterious hand in Ruby’s return to Sage Sanctum and Mr Aleksandrov is eager to find out what it is.

Destroying Lucian is the least of her worries when Ruby comes face to face with Eli De Luca, the love of her life. It seems her departure has affected him more than she thought it would, but his frustration with her isn’t strong enough to hide the electricity that crackles relentlessly between them.

Determined to end her very real nightmare once and for all, Ruby fights the biggest battle of her life, one that affects not only her, but everyone involved.
