Goodreads
Synopsis:
Gabrielle Willis is smart. She's funny. And oh yes, she's a bit klutzy.
When Gabrielle left sunny California bound for the energy of Manhattan, she was willingly leaving the life she had known for the new life she would create. But was she really leaving something behind or was she running away?

On the outside, Gabrielle Willis has it all under control. A new life in Manhattan, a great roommate, and a good job. But she is haunted. Haunted by a memory she's tried to forget and by a family who's abandoned her. But what happens when what's on the outside is only an illusion and in perfect contradiction to what's buried deep within?
Enter Dane Rhodes. He's gorgeous, smart, and sexy as hell. Just what Gabby wants, or so she thinks. But when she meets Brad Dixon, the sweet guy with the crooked smile, he begins to make her see that the very thing she is trying to run from is the very thing that just may push her to see the light.

My Review:

I absolutely LOVED this book! Love Love is a sweet, refreshing story about second chances, friendship, and learning to live past hurt. There is plenty of sex, hot men, and adorable heroines... but what hooked me was the relationships. The friendship between the two friends and the love that develops between the hero and heroine was so pure and addicting that I literally could not put this book down!

Gabby has been hurt in a way that she is sure she will never recover. Her fiancee... high school and college sweetheart... leaves her after proposing to pick up his sister. That is the last time Gabby would see Clark and all she will have left is a box of what might have beens. Gabby feels that her heart and soul left with him. She leaves California and moves to New York with her best friend Fran. I adored their friendship!! Fran and Gabby got each other. They were more like sisters, was always there to lend support, laughs, tears, and even sex advice! I found myself going from laughing to crying to doing both at the same time.. is that even possible??  Even with this amazing friendship Gabby is just existing.. she isn't living... she is just going through the day to day motions. Fran is convinced that Gabby needs to heal from the hurt of Clark and start living... for Fran that means.... have sex!!

Gabby is a creature of habit. She has the same routine every morning. One of those routines brings Brad Dixon into the story. Oh Brad... ***sigh***.... Brad works at a local coffee shop, has an incredibly sexy dimpled smile, and is super charming. He is a sensitive, charismatic, SEXY man and his smile made me smile just reading about him! Problem is... on the way into the coffee shop one day Gabby literally runs into a SEX ON LEGS man.... Dane. Dane oozes sexuality from his every pore. He is sexy as hell, a dirty talker, successful business man that Gabby immediately wants to jump his bones. He is gorgeous... but is that all he is???? I wish Love Love would have spent less time with Dane, and more time with Brad... don't get me wrong I loved reading about Dane's sexscipades... but I knew from the first meeting that Brad was the man for Gabby. Brad and Gabby had a connection that went far deeper than sex.

Love Love is a beautiful story! Like I mentioned earlier this book made me laugh, cry, and laugh and cry at he same time!! I felt the relationships in this book were totally believable and thought Beth Michele did an amazing job at writing a story on love, second chances, and mending a broken heart! I give Love Love 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale... any book that can wrench so many emotions from me and I still want to read it again deserves the highest ranking!!

Blurb:
All it takes is one mistake to be marked. One bite, she crosses a line...into forever.

Diana Hambre's body is blazing. For days this leopardess shifter has spun through a body-searing heat cycle. Alone. Her senses reel when Shawn Barclay, her boss, walks into her reserved room at the Downtown Den, a stud club for shifters. He gives Diana a choice: spend the evening with him, give into his every desire, and she'll find out what it means to quench her heat-crazed thirst—or try her luck with a stranger, one of the club bangers.

Shawn hates when his back is against the wall. One sip of Diana’s pheromone-laced scent is enough to force his alpha hand. The tables have turned and it's Diana's back he wants up against a wall or any other surface for that matter.

As the moon rises toward midnight, Shawn and Diana come to understand the difference between sex and bonding. For a night, neither of them resist their primal instincts, blindly giving into carnal desire. Her wild nature fights being subdued and she risks spontaneously shifting without warning.

Now, bearing Shawn's bite marks, she can’t simply walk away from him; not when he has the means to teach her to harness her leopardess nature. Shawn accepts the challenge of training Diana to control her untamed cravings. Employing every method available in and out of the bedroom, he discovers he's on the verge of ensnaring himself in the process.

She teased and nipped at his sweet spot, underneath his head, licking and sucking, and pushed past his dominance.

“Suck me harder, sweetheart.” Shawn’s voice was an inhuman, hoarse whisper. He stopped tonguing her pussy and held her head. He fucked her mouth, pumping and thrusting across her lips.

She adored the feel of his cock in her mouth and did as he instructed. Diana ran her claws across his flesh.

He followed suit, rasping the tips of his nails over her skin. Shivers broke out from the tiny pain-pleasure scratches over her skin. His muscles quivered around her. His scent filled her mouth and head. She could savor him without fear and, at this moment, had to taste his orgasm. A savage hunger tore into her.

Previously, her mouth had been a safe spot on her body where an alpha’s semen couldn’t cross her physical barrier. Yet now, her whole body convulsed and shifted, a sign of error in her judgment. This man was different. Her leopardess nature pushed outward. She told herself she must absorb his musky scent and taste if only to recognize his marking in the world beyond this room. He pulled out of her mouth and her leopardess mind quaked in frustration, on the edge of claiming her mate.

“No,” she roared. Her pelt rippled and she shook, flexing feline muscles. Spontaneously she’d let go and shifted. The experience was more than exhilarating. On all fours, she crouched next to him on the futon. Her long tail slapped against the wall. Never had shifting felt this powerful. She licked his face, stared at him from behind twitching whiskers, and she flicked her tail, snapping his leg.

“Diana, reel in your leopardess nature. Come back to me.” His whispered command eased her nature.

“Now, sweetheart.” He rubbed his thumb on the ridge between her eyes, then petted the side of her cheek. She could feel his essence without responding to the content of his words. Deep within her, primitive instinct was a force that drove her, and she responded by purring and rubbing up against him, marking her scent over him.

Shawn’s voice lulled her. She calmed instantly. Acquiesced. Her animal and human forms flickered.

The scent she released as leopardess would be near impossible for him to resist. She dropped beside him, blinking, and lowered her lids. For him, she began the process of shifting back. She hissed, and then moaned, curling up next to him.

“I’m sorry,” she said, opening her eyes and contemplating him. This was the first time she had shifted in front of an alpha male for over a year. Was Shawn taken back at her lack of control?

Her fur receded, emitting sparks of energy over the length of her skin, tightening and smoothing into her human form. Her claws got caught in the futon. She tugged each curved spike free, then focused and steadied her nature. “I understand if we shift during sex, things will get away from us.”

Twelve years on, they have made a good job of pretending, they may have almost forgotten. But when they get in touch via Facebook, it seems that it is all still there.
They quickly find that they are intensely compatible in ways they hadn’t even begun to explore before they were forced apart.
Can they put aside their fears and give it a go? Or will deep rooted doubts and insecurities tear them apart?

Excerpt:

I ease back into consciousness and for a moment I’m disorientated. I squeeze my eyes together tightly and then pry one open. Blinking against the light, I realise it must be late. The light is bright mid-morning light and the sounds of life drift up to me from downstairs. I’m draped across Danny, who is still sleeping soundly. I can't see the time without moving and I don't want to wake him.

I sigh happily; this is insane. Danny is back in my life. Staying with me, hinting that he might stick around, helping out in the bar. Telling me, well almost telling me that he has feelings for me still. It’s hard to take stock of these facts. It feels like a dream and I don't want to wake up. That's why I want to head to my parents, I think. Put it in some context. Mum might have some pearl of wisdom that can help me.

Danny shifts slightly, still fast asleep. Where my leg is draped across his, something hard presses into my inner thigh. Morning glory! I smirk, nuzzling his chest and lightly kissing his skin. Mark comes unwelcome into my mind. He always used to say that being woken up by sex is the best thing that can ever happen to a man. He was always remarking on the fact that I never did it, but he never deserved it. He had no idea how to put a woman in the mood; he only cared about himself.

I shake him out of my head, reminding myself that I’m lying across a man who doesn't just care about himself. He seems to care about me, a great deal. I shift slightly, feeling him hard against me once more. I could just slide on top of him and do it right now. I pause to consider this, what’s stopping me? Gently, I lift my head; he’s so beautiful. I kiss his chest again, but this time I trail kisses down his sculpted abdomen, pausing at his waistband.

He moans slightly in his sleep but doesn't wake. I delicately lift the elastic up and stretch it back, holding it in place with my hand below his impressive erection. He stirs slightly, I position my mouth over him, before he wakes and lick him. He stirs again, moaning. I want him to wake up in my mouth, so before it’s too late I take him between my lips, rolling my tongue around the tip and then plunging down onto him. He moans loudly, shifting beneath me as he becomes aware of what’s happening.

"Oh!" he sighs as I gently suck on him. I watch as his eyelids flick open and shock registers on his face. He lifts his head to see what’s going on and laughs when he confirms his suspicions.

"Oh God, Liv. That's incredible,” he breathes, still grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
